Sarah Sutton, LICSW

Headshot of Chantel HayesMy work as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) is deeply shaped by both my professional training and my own lived experience. I have personally navigated trauma and the long, nonlinear process of healing, which allows me to meet clients with genuine empathy and respect for the courage it takes to begin therapy. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and compassionate with themselves as they move toward healing.

I use a flexible approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based and trauma-informed practices to support each individual’s unique needs. My scope of training includes Internal Family Systems (IFS), substance use disorder treatment/tools, and a variety of trauma-focused interventions. I strongly believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all model, instead, I work collaboratively with clients to tailor our work to their goals, strengths, and lived experiences.

As both a therapist and someone who has personally benefited from therapy, I understand what it’s like to sit in the client’s chair and take the brave step of asking for help. I hold deep respect for the vulnerability this process requires and aim to show up with warmth and curiosity. Outside of the therapy room, you’ll find me playing “old-people” softball and traveling with my family, both practices that keep me grounded and joyful.
