With whom do you work?

I work with individuals ages 14 and above. People from all backgrounds, ethnicities, and religions are welcome to my practice. In addition, I am LGBTQ+ affirming.

How do I set up an appointment?

First, we will have a 15-minute phone consultation to make sure we are a good fit for each other and can work together. This work is important, and we need to be able to work together as a team.

When we determine we are a good fit, we will set up our initial appointment.

What should I expect the first session?

During the first session, we will have the opportunity to meet face to face. We will take some time to review my policies and answer any questions you may have for me. The rest of the time will be a discussion about what is bringing you to counseling and what you want to get out of counseling.

Can I use my insurance?

We are considered in an in-network provider with the following insurances:

Premera Blue Cross
All Blue Cross Blue Shield plans except Regence and Federal BC/BS
Kaiser Health PPO
First Choice
Aetna

What if my insurance is not listed above?

If you have an insurance plan not listed above. You will be charged the full fee at the time of service.

We will provide you with a Superbill Monthly which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. The good news is that your insurance will most likely reimburse you for a portion of your therapy fee. It is unlikely they will reimburse you for all of it. We recommend that you call and check your out-of-network benefits. Our fee remains the same regardless of whether or not you file out of network.

We require payment at the time of service and we provide you with the needed information to file it on your own to seek reimbursement. Please note that filing out of network will still require us to assign you or your loved one a diagnosis. Insurance coverage is NOT a guarantee of payment, which is why it’s always a good idea to call and check your benefits prior to scheduling an appointment if you wish to use your insurance.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for weekly appointments. If you do not cancel within 48 hours, you will be charged the full fee.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards, HSA, FSA, cash, and check. You can enter your credit card information in the client portal, and your card will be automatically charged the morning of your scheduled session.

How long will I be in therapy?

It depends. Some people participate in the EMDR intensive program and find the relief they want. Others are seen for four months. Depending on their history, other folks will take longer.

Some clients find that they can benefit from the ongoing personal growth and choose to stay in counseling for multiple years.

And some leave when they meet their goals and come back if new issues arise.
