Why individual therapy?

How to start?

First, we have an initial call, which lasts 15-20 minutes. During this call, we will chat and ask questions about what you need and how we can help. This provides an opportunity to gain an understanding of your goals.

During the call, we will schedule our first appointment if we decide to move forward and work together.

Your initial session will be about 50 minutes long. During this session, we will get to know each other better and talk about your hopes and desires. Then, depending on your goals and needs, we develop a plan for future sessions.

Initially, many clients are seen weekly. However, some clients prefer to enroll in the four-day EMDR Intensive program.

What will we do during the sessions?

We will begin by talking and getting to know more about your life and what is and is not working for you. Then we will chat about your background, your relationships, and anything you care to share. This can even include the names of your pets!

From there, we help guide you through the journey of healing. We use various approaches based on the best and latest research, such as EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
