I joined TouchPoint Counseling as a Student Intern while I am completing
my master’s in social work with Grand Canyon University. My passion for mental health grew out of my work as a client and the impact it had on
my life. I feel honored to now get to come alongside others in their
struggles. I love getting to work with people on their anxiety, depression,
and grief after a loss, helping others to manage them and reach their goals.
I also currently work part time at Holly Ridge Center as a Family Resource Coordinator. I work with families who have a child from birth to three with
a developmental disability. Prior to Holly Ridge Center, I worked with the Community and Family Services Foundation as a Family Services Specialist. Most of my work was to supervise visitations for foster children placed at the agency. I am a graduate of the University of Washington Tacoma Campus, where I majored in social work and minored in criminal justice.
When I am not involved with work or school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, toddler, and dog at home. I enjoy board game nights with family and friends, movie nights, and various arts and crafts.
As an intern, I recognize that I am still learning what it means to be a therapist. I am dedicated to learning more every day to better care for you. I am a gentle and non judgmental therapist who is excited to work with you.
