My quest to become a therapist began with my attempts at understanding people and events in my life. From my own crazy childhood, to physical challenges, military experience, and work in child welfare, I have sought to learn and grow. Now, I am in a place where I want to walk beside others while they work to overcome the challenges they face. The work can be hard, but the potential for growth and happiness is amazing. I have a genuine passion for supporting others through self-discovery and growth.
I believe everyone deserves to feel love, acceptance, and belonging. I have a very person-centered approach to therapy, where the individual is the director and I provide focus and support. I am known for being accepting and genuinely caring while also being direct. I incorporate as many aspects of the individual into therapy as possible utilizing art, music, humor, and play in evidence-based treatments.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time in nature. Having moved to Washington only one year ago, me and my fur-baby (dog) try to explore as much as we can. I also enjoy music, reading, and gardening.
