Katy Fox, LMFT

Headshot of Katy Fox, LMFT

My story as a therapist began like many others: A psychology-minded kid trying to make sense of a confusing and sometimes difficult childhood. I sought my own help, lived life for a while, and found I kept coming back to the idea of helping others find themselves and heal from the pains of life. Since diving into this work, I haven’t looked back.

I am, both as a therapist and a person, known for my deep empathy and compassion wrapped up with a quirky and (sometimes) grounded humor. My passion for this work is fueled by my belief that we all deserve to be living the best version of our life. I bring genuine authenticity and an unflinching presence in the face of the deepest traumas and pain that a person could share. It is truly an honor and a privilege to work with others to aid in transforming their lives.

Professionally, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I obtained my Master’s Degree from Antioch University Seattle in 2022. I work with couples as well as individuals (adults/teens). I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) therapy trained and am seeking certification. I also utilize some interventions from Internal Family Systems therapy, DBT, and many others for individuals. For couples, I use Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy and Gottman Couples Therapy. I have worked with veterans, first-responders, active duty military, health care workers, and so, so many other groups of folks. I work with folks who are struggling with PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and many others.

Personally, I am an avid wife, sister, mountaineer/hiker, highly sensitive person (HSP), D&D player, and animal-lover.

It would be my honor to walk with you through the fog of this chapter of life to create a better today and tomorrow!
