Taylor McConnell, LMHC

My desire to become a therapist came because of mentoring young women in college and seeing them grow and thrive as they set personal goals and worked on themselves. I strongly believe that change comes from a connection between the mind, body, and spirit to improve overall functioning and create an opportunity for growth. I am passionate about helping others assess their strengths as a way to tackle challenges in life. I believe that therapy serves many purposes that are unique to each individual. As a result, I take an integrated and eclectic approach that is designed to meet your specific needs and presenting concerns. With my clients, I am known for being direct yet caring and goal oriented. Professionally as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I am trained in EMDR and working towards EMDR certification. My experience includes working at the community mental health level with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma and stressor related challenges. I also have private practice experience focused on treating PTSD and other forms of trauma using EMDR. Outside of the office, I enjoy being active, watching Korean dramas, reading, and I can usually be found trying out a new hobby. I hope we get the opportunity to work together towards healing and growth.
