Group Therapy Sessions

At TouchPoint Counseling, we offer Group Therapy sessions. We believe in the power of connection, understanding, and shared experiences to promote healing and growth. Our safe and supportive environment offers you the opportunity to connect with others who are facing similar challenges, guided by experienced and compassionate therapists. Whether you’re seeking to overcome personal obstacles or simply looking for a space to share and learn, our group therapy can be a valuable resource on your journey towards wellness.

Why Choose Group Therapy?

Group therapy provides a unique setting that offers a range of benefits that individual therapy might not provide. Some of the advantages include:

Connection

You’ll have the chance to interact with individuals who are navigating similar life challenges. Sharing your experiences and listening to others can help you feel less isolated and more understood.

Support

In a group setting, you’ll receive support not only from the therapist but also from fellow participants. The bonds formed within the group can create a strong network of encouragement.

Diverse Perspectives

Different viewpoints can help you see your challenges from new angles, offering fresh insights and potential solutions.

Skill Building

You’ll have the chance to interact with individuals who are navigating similar life challenges. Sharing your experiences and listening to others can help you gain new tools and try them out in a supportive environment.

Cost-Effective

Group therapy is often more cost-effective than individual therapy, making it a more accessible option for many individuals.

At our group therapy sessions, we offer a variety of groups designed to address a range of concerns:

*Group Sessions are held in person at our Gig Harbor Office

Crafty Coping

Part psychoeducation, part hands-on, this group is geared towards learning the basics about regulation vs dysregulation while addressing the common misconception that coping means calm. Using crafts, the group will create tools which can be used to help maintain regulation during distressing times. There is no artistic skill required, these crafts are approachable for any age or skill level. From creating mindful jars for tactile and visual stimulation, to creating beautiful and meaningful positive affirmations along with decorating a box to hold all the tools, this group can allow anyone to learn how to craft to cope.
