I have always wanted to help others and I have been told that I am a great listener. I feel honored to work in the therapy profession and walk alongside people through their healing journey. Each of us has a story. Those stories bear both goodness and heartache. It is by working through the stories that we can heal wounds and move towards healing. This is a big step and I admire the courage it takes to take it. I bring warmth, calm and openness to therapy. My aim is to create a sacred space where individuals can learn to feel secure; to share any and every part they bring to the therapy room. I have a good sense of humor. I believe humor and keeping things light is equally important in the work of therapy.
Professionally, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA). I received my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. I have completed the Grief Educator Certification course with renowned Grief therapist David Kessler. I use a holistic approach to therapy drawing from many theories including Person-Centered, Experiential, relational Gestalt and Narrative therapy. I use trauma-informed care and will be continuing to develop my skills in Internal Family Systems and EMDR therapy.
Outside of the office I love to be outdoors playing sports, hiking, and doing photography. I am a huge sports fan. I enjoy a good cup of coffee, spending time with my cat, cooking and baking.
